I'm not a huge fan of the NBA regular season, but this could be one of the most exciting seasons in a long time. The West is loaded with the Lakers, Nuggets, Spurs, Mavericks, Suns, ect...The East has really improved with Shaq going to Cleveland, the Magic getting Vince Carter, the Celtics with the big three (Garnett, Allen and Pierce) along with the volatile but outstanding Sheed Wallace; a new addition from the Pistons. Miami is 4-1 led by the terrific Dwyane Wade; and the Bulls, Toronto and Atlanta are contenders. The Celtics are 6-0 and the Nuggets are 5-0. Carmelo Anthony has been unstoppable. Last week he went for over 35 in the three games and scored 40 in one of them. He is averaging 32 points per game. How about Dirk Nowitzki Tuesday Night scoring 29 points in the fourth quarter and 40 for the game in a win over the Jazz.
It's going to be a fun year in the NBA. While I usually don't watch many regular season games, I may watch some marquee games this season. The playoffs should be dynamite.
