Win, Place, Show

I’m going to take Catching Freedom the 8/1 odds thoroughbred. Brad Cox, the horse’s trainer, won the Kentucky Derby in 2021 with Mandaloun, and he also won the Belmont that year with Essential Quality. I think the 44 year old from Louisville is gets it done once again. Thirty-one year old Flavien Prat will be aboard Catching Freedom. Prat, from Melun, Seine-et-Marne, France, won the Derby in 2019 aboard Country House when Maximum Security, unofficially won, but was disqualified for interference after the race.

Prat also won the 2021 Preakness aboard Rombauer. Catching Freedom won the Louisiana Derby on March 23rd. Great closer. I like this horse to capture the 1 1/4 mile race. The weather now looks good for Triple Crown gem, so the track will be dry. A lot of pundits are picking Sierra Leone at 3/1. Its’ trainer is Chad Brown, a veteran, and the jockey is Tyler Gaffalione.

Winner: Catching Freedom (8/1)

Place: Sierra Leone (3/1)

Show: Fierceness (5/2)
