I felt really good about Omaha Beach this week and was going to pick him, but when he had to drop out, another opportunity. was presented That’s what makes this so electric, the unpredictability of it and the excitement it creates.

The horse I’m predicting has seen his odds drop from 5-1 this morning to 9-1 this afternoon. But I watched him win the Santa Anita Derby coming from behind and using incredible closing speed to capture that race on April 6th on a 1 1/8 track. I like him on this 1 1/4 Churchill Downs track as well which will be muddy from rain in Louisville tomorrow.

Justify won the Santa Anita Derby last year and I’d say he had some success after that to the tune of a Triple Crown. This is a Bob Baffert horse. Baffert trained Justify and American Pharoah, triple crown winners in 2018 and 2015. Thirty two year old Frenchman Florent Geroux will be on the mount.I think he knows what he’s doing after watching Santa Anita.

I watched this horse run six furlongs last Friday at Churchill Downs in a warmup and loved his speed. I love the look of this horse too. A ton of power in the body and especially in his legs. He’s in post 16 which has won the Derby 4 times out of 47 horses that have run out of this position, with the last winner being Animal Kingdom in 2011. I’m just going to go with this horse. I love his look and when Bama Golf and I went out to the Birmingham Race Course a pretty good while ago, we watched the horses in the paddock and loved the look of a thoroughbred named Full Focus. We picked him and he was a winner. I feel the same way about this thoroughbred. I’m going to take a road trip tomorrow afternoon with:
