Some big games this weekend in the SEC. One critical one is Auburn-Georgia. Auburn is trying to keep its' new-found momentum going. Georgia is trying to right the ship, and Mark Richt needs this game badly for job security, if he'll even have it with a win tomorrow.
This is a tough one. Auburn is playing well, but they've been killed by injuries in the secondary. Georgia's defense is porous and Auburn can score. This could be a scoring battle.
I've been going back and forth with this game all week, but I'm going with AU. I think Tate, Todd and company will outscore Georgia's offense. It's in Athens, which makes it tougher for AU, but I will make a shaky prediction that Auburn will win maybe by three.
Alabama should be ok against State. Could be a competitive game for two or three quarters, but the Tide, like they've been doing all season, should wear down State and win by 10-14.
Florida should win over South Carolina. It could be close because of the Gamecocks' defense, but SC can't score. Like Alabama, it could be competitive for two or three quarters, but Florida wears SC out in fourth and wins by 14-17.
Tenn-Ole Miss will be interesting. Good matchup here. Depends on which Tenn team and which Ole Miss team shows up. Tenn has been playing well lately, but I like Rebels to win barely. Kind of an upset at this point. Think McCluster will be the difference along with Ole Miss defense slowing down Hardesty and Bryce Brown and neutralizing Crompton and passing game.
Vandy-Kentucky-Could be an upset here, but Ky has most everybody back from injured list. I'll make another upset prediction and go with Vandy by a field goal.
