A pretty fun game between Boise State and TCU, a couple of solid teams who wanted a shot at the national title. Boise State won to finish their season at 14-0. TCU finished 12-1. Neither team is better than Alabama or Florida. They would lose to those two. Probably Texas, too. Boise State's most valuable player was their punter, Kyle Brotzman, who threw a 30-yard pass to Kyle Efaw on 4th and nine in their own territory late in the game. You gotta love Boise State's coach, Chris Peterson. His gambles usually work.
Two solid teams who play pretty good defense. Brandyn Thompson, Boise State's linebacker who had the 51-yard interception return for a TD at the beginning of the game, was flying down the field. Boise State had some great speed.
This game was not great, but interesting. TCU wide receiver Antoine Hicks is probably kicking himself today. Had the potential game-tying catch in his grasp but dropped it late in the game. Tough break for him.
Liked both teams; solid, not spectacular. Still, Alabama, Florida and probably Texas are better.
