Chris Samuels

Was an All-American at Alabama. Has to retire from pro football (Washington Redskins) as you probably know by now. But he's not going to sit around. I remember going to the Orange Bowl in 2000 in Miami (actually the stadium is in Fort Lauderdale) and watching Alabama-Michigan. It was a classic. I think Michigan won in overtime when the Alabama kicker missed an extra point. It was a gut wrenching game. Samuels and Shawn Alexander were the stars for 'Bama. They both went on to distinguished pro careers, making good money and leaving a strong Alabama legacy along with the many others who played professionally. Here is the Samuels story.
