Frankie Sullivan was Mr. Clutch last night for the Tigers. After a Jeff Lebo timeout, DeWayne Reed, who had 21 on the night, penetrated the lane and dished to the right corner to Sullivan who was behind the trifecta line. He drained the shot with 1:10 left to put the Tigers up 78-76. Earnest Ross made a great defensive play and had a key offensive rebound off a missed free throw and the Tigers sank six-of-eight free throws in the final minute to seal the victory. Besides Reed's 21, Sullivan had 15, Lucas Hargrove and Tay Waller chipped in 14 apiece. Brendon Knox came off the bench to score 10. Auburn was 26-of-50 from the field, 52%, and 10-of-22 from trifecta land, 45.5%, a good number. They were 22-of-33 from the free throw line, but made the six of eight at the end.
Tasmin Mitchell went off for LSU scoring 38. He was 15-of-22 from the field and four-of-seven from three, Storm Warren added 17 for the Bengal Tigers.
