Kevin Durant

This kid is lighting up the league. He scored 45 for the Oklahoma City Thunder in a 140-139 loss to Utah two nights ago. He had a last second three-point shot attempt partially blocked, but he was hacked on the arm and  there was no call. Should have been called. Last night he had 33 against Denver in a 98-94 loss. He's averaging 29.9 ppg and leading the league in scoring. LeBron is next at 29.7. He's also shooting 90% from the line, good for seventh in the league; and he's attempted 798 free throws compared to the next highest guy in the top 40 free throw shooters, Dirk Nowitzki, who has attempted 550. Durant's made 716 of his attempts. Steve Nash leads the league at 93.5%.There are four games left for many teams. The Western Conference is a war with four teams fighting for second place. It could end up with the Lakers facing the Thunder in the first round, which could be a very interesting first round match. A Kobe-Durant matchup could be classic. Here are the standings heading into the final few games of the season. Cleveland has the number one seed locked up in the Eastern Conference. LA would get it with a win tonight at Denver, which will be very difficult. Denver still battling for number one seed, so they'll give the Lakers everything they want. Like Denver to win the game.
