Georgetown pulls off upset

Gtown 91, Syracuse 84 It's so hard to beat a team three times in one season for some reason; maybe it's because the team that's lost twice makes adjustments. Will Syracuse get a number one seed in the tourney now? Possibly, but there is basketball to be played. If Ohio State and Duke win their respective conference tourneys and Kansas and Ky win, those could be your top 4. The 'Cuse still in the running.

The bigger issue for Syracuse is Arinze Onaku, their starting center, hurt his knee. Missed some of the game and his status for the big tourney is uncertain. That could really hurt a team that doesn't have much depth at all. That would leave them with only six players who have played significant minutes. Will keep you posted on that.

Meanwhile, Gtown looked great. I think this team is a darkhorse for the Final Four in Indianapolis. They've got the guards and some good forwards and a great big man in the middle in Greg Monroe. He can pass better than most big men I've ever seen, he's a good shooter and an awesome rebounder. Austin Freeman and Chris Wright are excellent guards. Freeman looks fine after the diabetes diagnosis two weeks ago. Playing through it well. Had 18 against the 'Cuse. Wright scored 27. Like this team a lot.

Alabama is losing 54-41 with 10 minutes to go.
