games today

BYU 99 Florida 92 2OT. It was a classic. BYU is one scrappy team. Florida played hard just couldn't make shots at the end of regulation or first overtime. BYU just a hard playing, smart, great free throw shooting team. Florida had them outathleted, but BYU showed a ton of heart at the end. Villanova 73, Robert Morris 70 OT-Villanova survived. Robert Morris gave them everything they wanted. I saw a Villanova player do one of the dumber things I've seen this year. With his team leading by four with 16 seconds left, he had a breakaway lay-up, nobody around him. He decides to dribble around and gets fouled. He's a 60 something percent free throw shooter. He makes one of two for a five point lead. RM comes back and hits an amazing three. Villanova almost blew it, but I was impressed with Robert Morris.

Old Dominion 51, Notre Dame 50-Just outplayed'em. Tougher down the stretch. Luke Harangody had four points. Poor showing in his last game of his college career. I'm sure the pro scouts took notice of Harangody's play. He's been hurt, but he sure played poorly today.

Murray State 66, Vandy 65-Murray State hits a shot at the buzzer for the victory. The key play was a Murray State missed shot, but the ball went out of bounds off Vandy. After a timeout,  Murray State  sank a 15-footer for the victory. Tough loss for a Vandy team a lot of people picked to lose in the first round. I thought they would make it to the Sweet 16. Another tough loss for Vandy fans.

I'll be back tomorrow with some more thoughts. Out tonight. Back in A.M. Enjoy the games.
