Butler vs Michigan State: Looked at the numbers and liked Butler a little bit better. They allow less points and shoot the ball better than Mich. State from three. Only common opponent was Ohio State. Butler beat them 74-66 at home, but OSU was without Evan Turner. With Turner, Ohio State beat Mich. State at MSU, 74-67. But when OSU played Mich State, Turner had the flu. He still had 20 and 10.Butler needs to hang with Mich State on the boards, but I just like how Butler gets after it on defense. With Gordon Hayward (15.2), Shelvin Mack (14.1) and Matt Howard (12.0) think they can outshoot the Spartans, too. Winner: Butler
Duke vs. West Virginia: Duke allows less points and shoots the three a lot better than WVA. The law firm, as they're called, of Nolan Smith (17.4 ppg), John Scheyer (18.2) and Kyle Singler (17.6), can beat teams with their marksmanship. Duke can rebound with anybody with their big front wall of Brian Zoubek (7.6 rbg) Lance Thomas (4.9)and the Plumlee brothers (Miles, 5.1, Mason, 3.3). Thomas is 6'8" and very athletic, the Plumlees are both 6'10" and Zubek is 7'1". Like their ability to hit the glass–Duke averages 39.3 rebounds per game, West Virginia 38.9. Duke allows approximately 61 pts per game while WVA is at 63.Kentucky could have beaten WVA if they had gone inside. They had good looks from trifecta, but couldn't sink them. Duke can shoot the three well. West Virginia will try to keep the pace deliberate which Duke can handle. Common opponent was Gtown and West Va. beat'em twice and Duke lost to them. Still like the Blue Devils to get it done.
Could be looking at Duke-Butler final. Could be a great game. Like Duke right now, but want to watch Saturday's games before making final call.
