College of Charleston 82, North Carolina 79 OT

Bobby Cremins is trying to return to the big time. The former Georgia Tech coach, who took his Tech team to the Final Four in 1990, upset Roy Williams and North Carolina at Charleston last night. The key stat was the 3-point shooting: College of Charleston was 13-of-32 and North Carolina was 1-of-6. Carolina still was 22-of-34 from the free throw line while the College of Charleston was three-of-six; an amazing discrepancy.

Huge upset. It can happen to anybody. There won't be an undefeated team this year. There are too many good teams that will beat you on their home floor. Only Kansas (13-0), Texas (13-0), Kentucky (15-0) and Purdue (13-0) are undefeated. Those are the top four teams in the country according to the AP and ESPN/USA Today polls.
