Analysis:

Mississippi State is for real. They've got a good inside-out combo. Jarvis Varnado is a beast and his shot blocking and altering can change the momentum of games instantly. They also shoot the three well when they're on. This is a big challenge for Alabama.

Alabama will just have to grind to get the W here. It'll take a great effort on both ends; they will have to play great perimeter defense and somehow slow down Varnado in the paint. JaMychal Green Justin Knox will have their hands full. But Alabama's been pretty successful at home against State through  the years. Should be a good contest. 'Bama needs this one.
