Bama loses tough one

Tide (13-9, 3-5) lose to Florida (16-6, 5-3), 66-65. Had a shot at end, but Dan Werner slapped the inbouds ball back to the Tide's backcourt with three seconds left and they didn't get an opportunity to shoot. Alex Tyus had 19 for the Gators and Torrance had 22 for 'Bama. Still believe very much in Anthony Grant. He needs some more players, but 'Bama played a lot better last night than they did against Auburn. He'll get Tide back to upper echelon of SEC. May not be this year, but there is still time left to get something done. Florida is a good team, so there is a lot 'Bama can take away from it positively. They learned they can play with an upper-echelon SEC team; they've just got to take the next step and beat a team like that. They shot the ball a lot better, and played aggressively all night. Came back at the end, too, which showed some perseverance. MIkhail Torrance had a tough day against Auburn, but came back with a good game though he missed a contested lay-up at the end. Still playing well this season. Like Tony Mitchell a lot. JaMychal Green is still learning the ropes, but he's going to be an excellent player. The season's still got a lot of time left, so 'Bama is not done.
